As the holiday season approaches many people want to put the pandemic behind them and return to holidays like we remember them, full of tons of delicious food. Unfortunately our diet during the holidays drives the development of the leading killers of Americans, pre-covid, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancers.
While there are certainly other factors involved such as socioeconomic factors (I discuss this in my video on Social Justice & Plant Based Nutrition), if a person is a cigarette smoker, and intake of highly processed and refined fats, animal foods, and sugar, in this video I discuss the role that animal based foods play in the development of metabolic diseases. My hope is that this can help you get motivated to make dietary changes that can help you live a longer and healthier life.
Be sure to check out the other videos in my series focusing on the impacts of the animal agriculture industry.
