I urge you to take some time out of your busy schedules to check my latest webinar on the social justice implications of the animal agriculture industry and how a plant-based diet can help reduce our negative impact. This is part two of a four part series on the impacts of the animal agriculture industry. I teamed up with my good friend and colleague, Allison Crisp, MS, CN, CNS (@acrsiphealthylife) to help bring this series of webinars together.
The COVID19 pandemic revealed to us all just how many cracks there are in our food and health care systems. On top of the pandemic, we have seen that it has been low income and BIPOC communities that have suffered the most. Many of the same factors that influence why low income and BIPOC communities have worse health outcomes, compared to middle income white Americans, are also at play in our food industry. This webinar will introduce you to some of these issues and more importantly, what you can do to limit your contribution to these issues.
In our next video we will take some time to build on some of the lessons of this webinar as we dive into the environmental impacts of the animal agriculture community and show how adopting a plant-based diet is the single greatest individual action a person can take to help the environment.
Here is the order we plan on releasing our webinar series as well as their current titles:
Pandemic Diseases and Plant Based Nutrition
Social Justice & Plant Based Nutrition
Plant Based Nutrition & the Environment
The Health Implications of Going Plant Based
